Moldova – Supervision of civil works on R1 Chisinau – Ungheni -Sculeniroad and R33 Hincesti – Lapusna– M1 road (Package 1)

Spea has been awarded the Supervision of Works for the rehabilitation of the following roads:

• R1 Chisinau-Ungheni-Sculeni Road, km 74+177 – km 96+200
  Rehabilitation of this roads mainly consist of pavement rehabilitation including milling and applying a structural overlay. There are sections were cold recycling or new construction has to be applied depending on the existing road alignment and the parameters to be achieved for the rehabilitated road. The works of this section will also include rehabilitation of 9 bridges. Road safety devices like single metal guardrails at the road edges, marking and signing, bus-bays, pedestrian crossing facilities, traffic lights, sidewalks etc. have to be provided. 
• R33 Hincesti-Lapusna-M1 Road, km 0+000 – km 37+200
  The main works include reconstruction of road pavement, a cold in-place recycling of asphalt concrete pavement is to be applied for this road section, demolition of small bridges, reconstruction of bridges, demolishing and construction of culverts, construction of drainage facilities, relocation of utility lines, and realignment of 0.52 km long section is foreseen.

The objective of the Construction Supervision services is to provide services and carry out the duties of ‘the Engineer’ as defined in the FIDIC MDB Harmonised Edition of the Conditions of Contract for Construction, March 2006 in supervising the 2 Works Contracts, resulting in the issue of a Provisional Acceptance Certificate and a Taking-over certificate at the end of construction and a Final Payments Certificate at the end of Defect Leability Period.
