Our Supervision and Maintenance service for road and motorway infrastructures includes monitoring the works and the planning, design and site supervision of the structural maintenance, besides the activities for updating, upgrading, repairing and consolidating existing road infrastructures, such as bridges, viaducts, tunnels, flyovers, drainage, etc.
Spea Engineering, building on its design and construction know how, has developed dedicated IT tools for analysing and forecasting maintenance problems, aimed at optimising the management and monitoring of infrastructures throughout their lifecycle.
Therefore, it has developed ad hoc scheduled maintenance plans to ensure the protection, over the time, of road infrastructures, as efficiently and effectively as possible.
In particular, depending on the infrastructure features and the operator’s needs, we have developed special “Maintenance and Operation Manuals”, to help plan the maintenance activities, optimising the resources dedicated to the ordinary and extraordinary projects.
This management system has been developed further in recent years, adopting state-of-the-art sophisticated IT and technology solutions, for the effective monitoring of tunnels, bridges and viaducts, etc.
All the data collected through the monitoring and maintenance operations flow into a network database, which is available for inspection and periodical maintenance purposes.
Currently, SPEA Engineering also provides monitoring services for over 3000 km of Italian roads and motorways.
