60% of the stock of SPEA Engineering S.p.A. is owned by Atlantia S.p.A., the rest is equally shared between Autostrade per l’Italia  S.p.A. and Aeroporti di Roma S.p.A., both of which are also controlled by the holding company Atlantia.
Autostrade per l’Italia S.p.A. is the number one motorway concession company in Europe, building and operating toll motorways and providing all relevant services. In Italy, about 5 million drivers –8% of the population – use the 2,854.6 km network on a daily basis.
Aeroporti di Roma S.p.A. is the airport concession company running the two major airports of Italy’s capital city, Rome, at Fiumicino and Ciampino; with over 40 million passengers/year it is the leading operator in Italy and ranks fifth, in Europe, for volume of traffic.
Atlantia Group, besides SPEA Engineering S.p.A., also includes the following companies that provide support and integrated services for its core business:

• Pavimental S.p.A., which provides road and airport runway surfacing and surface maintenance services;
