Project Introduction
Design and Technical Assistance for the supervision of the construction works of the first 20 km of the historic by-pass of A1 highway. The construction works are divided into 4 lots.
- Lot 1: widening of the existent infrastructure (as for the first 6 km) and by-pass of the remaining highways section (crossing of Rhine river).
- Lot 2: 4,7 km long. Widening of the existing infrastructure (as for 3 km) and by-pass of the remaining highway section (crossing of Mount Mario). Both lot 1 and 2 are part of Sasso Marconi municipality.
- The interventions foreseen by the detailed project of Lot 3 fall upon Sasso Marconi, Monzuno and Marzabotto municipalities and concern the strengthening of the highway in the first section (about 360 m) and the construction of about 4 km of road, underground and on viaduct.
- Lot 4: highway strengthening is characterised by the construction of Campolungo Viaduct (about 290 m), which allow to cross the Bologna – Firenze railway, and by the Campolungo tunnel (about 230 m).
