Project Introduction
Technical study and coordination for Atlantia group of technical advisor (Louis Berger – Emay – Amman&Withney) on “Green and Brown” Fields activities. The scope of the highway network to be privatized essentially comprises three areas where tolled highways are already in operation together with the two major suspension bridges over the Bosphorus. In all, this network includes around 2,000 kms of highway, together with many small tunnels, long viaducts and numerous bridges. In addition to the highways, the package also includes connecting roads, service areas and operation and maintenance depots. The involved areas in the privatization are: KGM’s Region 2 (Izmir); Region 4 and 17 (Erdine-Istanbul-Ankara) and Region 5, 6 and 9 (Mersin-Adana-Sanliurfa). This network includes the two major suspension bridges in Istanbul across the Bosphorus referred to as Bogazici and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge.
