INTEGRATED ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK POLICY

«Safety and sustainability are two key elements that qualify the Corporate Responsibility of Gruppo ATLANTIA: to SPEA, this means safety in the design of transport infrastructures, construction works and airport works by using increasingly sustainable techniques and processes, safety of its employees that have been assigned various tasks, but also safety of people employed by the undertakings that have been involved in the designed sites and are managed by SPEA as well as safety of the users of the transport infrastructures entrusted for surveillance purposes.

Starting with the commitment to apply the laws and regulations that discipline the activities controlled and with the application of this Environmental, Safety at Work and Health Management System pursuant to the international standards UNI ISO 45001:2018 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2015, the Company undertakes to achieve the highest prevention, technical and procedure standards in order to avoid injuries, accidents and occupational illnesses due to causes related to the work activity, to safeguard the environment by preventing any pollution and by mitigating the environmental impacts by means of sustainable design techniques.

To that end, the Company also undertakes:

    • to make available the technical and economic resources intended for the identification and assessment of risks and the analysis of the environmental impacts, the preparation of work environments, the carrying out of controls at the work sites entrusted to SPEA;
    • to favour the safety cooperation and coordination amongst the various employers that work for SPEA or that are involved in activities supervised by the same;
    • to promote the information, training and mentoring of workers in order to increase competence and awareness, their consultation and participation in the forms provided for by the current legislation;
    • to define and to maintain the corporate procedure system updated on the subject of health and safety of workers and environment actually applied to the activities performed;
    • to define the objectives intended for the constant improvement of the performances and to favour the definition and the exchange of the best experiences in the health and safety at work and environment field;
    • to implement appropriate and decisive monitoring, verification and inspection activities in order to regularly assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the system and to ensure its adequacy in relation to the changes.
